Instrumental and Vocal Lessons in School
​Barnsley Music Service provide a high quality and progressive tuition offer in schools. Tuition is available on a wide range of musical instruments, along with tuition for singers and those wishing to develop their vocal ability.
We provide access to a wide range of musical activities, including ensembles, workshops and masterclasses.

For young people receiving tuition, instrument hire can be provided at reasonable rates.

Our professional tutors are highly qualified, fully DBS checked and undergo regular performance management and training to ensure that all teaching is of a high quality.​

Centre for Advanced Training
Sheffield Music Academy is the centre for advanced training for South Yorkshire providing specialist training for over 150 musicians a year aged 4-19 who show outstanding ability and potential on their instrument(s).
There are fees to pay, but you could get financial help for your child to attend. Contact Sheffield Music Academy directly to discuss this.

There are 15 National Youth Music Organisations in the country that provide opportunities for thousands of young people across the country to take part in making, performing and enjoying music.
